　　01 ) 帝国理工学院

　　整体上，帝国理工的PS要包含以下几个方面的内容：

　　☆ the motivations for applying for the programme

　　☆ relevant academic and professional experience to date

　　☆ interests

　　☆ futurecareer aspirations

　　☆ as well as the ability to gain from and contribute to the College community.

　　此外，帝国热门专业基本都有自己单独的文书要求，大家申请前要到官网确认，看所申专业是否有特殊要求。

　　Career Statement，Quantitative Experience Statement，以及Programming, Computer Software Experience 都必不可少。Career Statement 中要清晰地表述你毕业以后想找什么类型的工作，你的哪些能力或技能使你胜任这份工作。Quantitative Experience Statement 要求列出本科所学课程中运算成份最高的至少5门课程。Programming/Computer Software Experience 要清晰地说明你是否有编程或者软件应用开发方面的经验，目前的水平处于什么等级等等。

　　02 ) UCL

　　UCL的PS同样是因专业而异的，整体要求是：A personal statement outlining: their motivation for studying management and future career aspirations. Applicants should also show that they have actively taken steps to meet their career goals through activities such as work experience, internships, and/or volunteering. 不同专业也会有特殊的PS要求，申请前同样要仔细确认。以 Data Science and Machine Learning MSc 为例：Applicants should ensure the personal statement is prefaced with a clarification of formal qualifications awarded, level studied and grades achieved in linear algebra; calculus; probability and statistics. 申请人要确保PS中写明最终会拿到什么学位，学习的等级，以及线代、微积分、概率、统计这些课程的分数。

　　03 ) 华威大学

　　华威大学PS的整体内容应该围绕着三个方面：

　　1)为什么对你所申的专业感兴趣?

　　What are your reasons for choosing this specific course? Why do you want to undertake postgraduate study at this point in your academic or professional career?

　　2)已经在专业领域做了哪些准备?

　　This may be about your prior work experience or evidence of research or reading in the subject area. Your personal and academic skills, achievements and how they relate to the course are also good stories to tell.

　　3)你所申的课程对你以后的职业规划有什么帮助?

　　What are your goals? What skills do you want to develop? How would this course prepare you for the future you envision for yourself?

　　华威WMG的PS要求就更细致了，比如要求PS控制在500-1000字，WMG非常非常喜欢简练的PS，最好控制在500字左右。Most of the poor statements we see are too long, not too short. Although the application form states 1000 words for the SoP, we would very much prefer a more concise, to the point essay closer to 500 words.

　　04 ) KCL

　　KCL各个专业的要求略有不同，

　　以Accounting, Accountability & Financial Management MSc 为例：Maximum 4,000 characters: Please provide a personal statement that shows how your own interests are linked to the programme.

　　In this statement please describe your academic background, your reasons for applying for this programme and what you hope to gain from it, including any relevant experience, strengths, ambitions or research interests.

　　要求字数控制在4000字符以内，也就是600-700字左右，要体现你的兴趣与所申专业之间的关联。内容要包括学术背景、申请原因、想从该专业获取的技能、过往的相关经验、你的优势、愿景、研究兴趣等等。

　　05 ) 爱丁堡大学

　　爱大的PS内容需要围绕这几个方面来写：

　　1) What skills, qualities and experiences have prepared you to undertake this programme?

　　2) What value do you think you can add to the learning community as part of an internationally diverse group?

　　3) What impact do you hope to make in your future career, and how will this programme contribute to your aspirations?

　　简而言之就是你已经有哪些技能或经验，你能给爱大带来什么，以及这个专业能为你的职业和抱负带来什么。注意文书的字数限制，系统中将文书分为两部分，Personal Statement 和 Relevant Knowledge/Training Skills，两部分分别是3500字符，相当于每部分500字左右。写文书时，注意把自己的课外活动和经验与其他内容分开来写，免得递交申请的时候临时去拆分。

　　06 ) 曼彻斯特大学

　　曼大大部分专业都有自己的文书要求，一般要求500字以内或一页A4纸以内。以Master of Accounting 为例：Your statement of purpose should cover the areas outlined below and be one page A4: Tell us why you are interested in the MSc Accounting course at Alliance MBS and how the course will impact on your future.List any other accounting courses or qualifications you have taken in addition to your undergraduate degree.Describe what makes you an outstanding applicant and describe your potential to contribute to all aspects of the course.会计专业的SoP要求一页A4纸以内，包含三个方面的内容：专业兴趣以及该专业对你未来的影响除了本科课程，还学过哪些会计课程你有哪些突出点，能为曼大的专业贡献什么

　　07 ) 伯明翰大学

　　伯明翰大学的PS要求：Personal statement, approximately 5000 characters, explaining why you are interested in studying on your chosen programme. This can be uploaded to the personal statement section in PDF or Microsoft Word format. Alternatively, you can type this within the application portal.5000字符左右，大约600-700字，要解释为何对所选专业感兴趣。部分专业有单独的PS要求，以MSc Public Management 为例，PS有如下要求：

　　1) Demonstrate your interest and understanding of the Public Management programme (please check the course contents on the course page.)

　　2)Discuss why you are applying to the Public Management programme.

　　3)What you hope to achieve once you have graduated with your Masters in Public Management.

　　4)Discuss how you think the programme will help you achieve their ambitions.

　　5)Where relevant, discuss any experience of receiving or working within government services and organisations.

　　08 ) 利兹大学

　　利兹大学各专业对PS的要求不同，部分学院不要求提供PS，且不审核PS，比如计算机学院。传媒学院内MA Film, Photography and Media 需要提供一个supporting statement，说明自己的专业兴趣已经在专业领域已有的经验等。还需要提供一份作品集，体现专业实力。其他所有MA专业不需要提供PS，也不需要推荐信，但是可以提供一份英文简历。定好专业后，一定先确认文书要求，是否要PS，是否要推荐信，需要几封，是否需要英文简历等等。以Fashion, Enterprise and Society MA为例：PS要根据网申表中提出的问题来写，主要回答“why you wish to study this particular course and your future career plans” 为什么想学这个专业，以及你的职业规划是什么这两个问题。

　　09 ) 格拉斯哥大学

　　格拉斯哥大学部分专业有PS要求，包括字数要求和内容要求。以MSc Creative Industries and Cultural Policies为例：You are required to submit a personal statement of around 500 words explaining why you want to undertake the MSc in Creative Industries and Cultural Policy at Glasgow, in addition to an academic transcript, references, and linguistic proficiency documentation.要求PS 500字左右，解释为什么想申这个专业，也就是说，专业兴趣在PS中所占的比重要大一些。

　　10 ) 卡迪夫大学

　　卡迪夫大学是对PS最严格的大学之一，尤其是传媒相关专业，PS写得不对的，要么要求重写，要么直接拒绝，后果很严重。举几个例子：

　　1) MA Digital Media and Society

　　PS中要求表现对数字媒体和互联网在社会中的作用这一类课程表现出明显的兴趣;探索当代数字社会的机遇和挑战;观察、分析和调查当前的文化变革，数字化和数据化背景下的政治和经济。

　　2) MA International Journalism

　　PS中必须明确表现出对新闻和媒体领域的兴趣，以及在该领域工作的意愿。包含以下三个部分：Tell us about your interest in journalism, including any experience you may have.

　　What do you want to achieve in the world of journalism?

　　Why do you want to study at Cardiff University?

　　3)MA International Public Relations and Global Communications Management

　　PS中必须明确表现出对广告、传播、市场、媒体及公共关系领域的兴趣，以及在这些领域工作的意愿。

　　4) MA Journalism, Media and Communications

　　PS中要求表现对新闻和媒体 (包括公民、种族、性别、种族和阶级) 如何在各种社会、文化、经济和政治背景下运作这类学术研究的兴趣。

　　5) MA Political Communication

　　PS中要求表现对政治、政府以及公共事务的强烈兴趣。
