美国本科申请结束SAT刷分时代动态能力档案上线开辟名校录取新时代

　　美国本科申请标准化考试SAT成绩刷分再高也于事无补？一向以标准化考试成绩作为美国本科录取模式可能将会终结，取而代之的是以能力评估为主的A New Model。这样一来也就意味，一旦A New Model这种录取制度一旦被美国院校，甚至是部分美国院校所采纳，那么这种动态电子档案将会终结SAT和ACT等美国高考。

　　什么是A New Model？

　　A New Model是由美国近百所顶尖私立高中组成的联盟Mastery Transcript Consortium（MTC）发明的一种新的学生评价体系。早在2016年3月，MTC主席D. Scott Looney在私立高中学校年度会议上首度抛出。一经推出便受到了包括全美最负盛名的道尔顿学校、纽约知名女校斯宾塞学校、乔治·布什总统的母校菲利普斯学院等知名私立院校的青睐。经过一年多的发展，参与推动A New Model的美国顶级私立高中已经超过100所。

　　为什么推崇新评选体系

　　MTC成员院校认为现在阶段本科申请中的SAT、ACT甚至是高中在校绩点等应试成绩并不能充分地、全面地反映出一个本科申请者的综合素质——毕竟在申请中可以多次刷分拿到理想的成绩。这也造成了“成绩好”与“优秀人才”划上等号，从而导致人才选拔跑偏。正是在看到了这样的情况，MTC集结了一众顶尖院校，致力于发明一套更加合理的人才选拔评价系统——A New Model。在A New Model刚刚发布的时候，获得了以取代Common Application为己任的美国本科申请系统CAAS（Coalition for Access, Affordability and Success）的鼎力支持。

　　A New Model一份动态跟踪的全息档案

　　IDP根据外网的介绍得知，A New Model完全不含任何成绩分数。那么它究竟如何来追踪学生的记录呢？原来A New Model学生高中阶段便开始持续记录、评估学生的8项能力。

　　全面解读A New Model——不看成绩

　　以能力为导向的A New Model不会记录学生的成绩。在学生完成对应的能力学生（Mastery Credits）之后，模拟学生档案分为两部分，一部分是学生拿到的具体能力学分（Earned Credits），没有了评级和分数；另一部分，是学生的8大能力总览。

　　这也就表明A New Model是一份持续更新的全系档案。平时的努力的点滴都会被收录于其中。换而言之，平时不努力、考试临时抱佛脚、考试靠刷分的，申请想投机的可能就没了空子可钻。
