雅思机考真的来了：雅思机考3月实行，不影响现有考试

        自2016年3月起，部分雅思考生可以通过纸笔模式或机考模式参加用于英国签证及移民的雅思考试（IELTS for UKVI）。用于英国签证及移民的雅思考试学术类机考将率先应用于英国和中国（包括香港行政区）的部分考点，并于2016至2023年在其他国家及地区陆续推行。

        首场位于中国大陆地区的机考将于2016年3月31日在雅思北京机考中心举行，随后考生仅可在全年特定的日期选择该服务。其他城市如重庆、上海和广州预计将在今年十月提供雅思机考服务。

        新增的用于英国签证及移民的雅思考试学术类机考服务不会影响现有的雅思考试纸笔模式的考试日期及考位容量。

        选择用于英国签证及移民的雅思考试学术类机考的考生将通过机考模式参加听力、阅读及写作三个部分的考试。雅思特有的“人人对话”口语考试模式仍将保留，因为人人对话的口语考试模式是最有效的检测考生英语口语能力的测评方式，以保证考生在最真实自然的交流状态下发挥最佳水平。

        用于英国签证及移民的雅思考试学术类机考在考试内容、评分标准、难度等级、考试安全设置等方面均与现行的纸笔模式相同，考生也将收到同样的成绩单。

        雅思机考模式目前仅限用于英国签证及移民的雅思考试学术类，对用于英国签证及移民的雅思考试培训类及雅思生活技能类考试并无影响。

        由英国文化教育协会、IDP教育集团和剑桥大学外语考试部共同拥有的雅思考试已有25年的历史，一直在出国留学、工作及移民类英语考试中扮演着关键角色。雅思成绩获得了全球9000多所院校机构、专业团体、移民当局和其他政府机关的认可，并广泛用于英国、澳大利亚、加拿大、新西兰等移民国家的移民申请。 2015年，在全球逾140个国家和地区中，共有250多万人次参加了雅思考试。

        From March 2016, some IELTS test takers for UK Visas and Immigration will be able to take their IELTS test on paper or on computer. A limited number of places will be available for IELTS for UKVI (Academic) delivered on computer at a number of locations in the UK, China and Hong Kong. This option will then be gradually introduced in other locations during 2016-17.

        First CB test in China will be held in 31st March in IELTS Beijing Test Centre – Computer delivery, and roll out in other cities in mainland China (CQ, GZ and SH in October)

        The IELTS for UKVI (Academic) delivered on computer will be held on selected dates throughout the year and registration will close one week before the test date, subject to availability of places.

        The introduction of this new option will not affect the availability of paper IELTS tests. 

        Test takers who choose the new option will take their Listening, Reading and Writing components using a computer. The Speaking test will remain face-to-face, as this has always been a key feature of the IELTS approach. We believe it is the most effective way of assessing speaking skills and prompts a more realistic performance from test takers.

        All other aspects of the test (including content, marking, scoring, security arrangements, etc.) are identical whether it is taken on paper or on computer and all test takers will receive the same Test Report Form.

        Please note that this development only affects test takers who need to take IELTS for UKVI (Academic) for UK visas and immigration purposes. It does not affect people taking IELTS for UKVI (General Training), people taking IELTS Life Skills or people taking IELTS for any other purpose.

        IELTS, which is jointly owned by the British Council, IDP: IELTS Australia and Cambridge English Language Assessment, has played a key role in language testing for study, work and immigration purposes throughout its over 25 year history. IELTS is accepted by more than 9,000 organisations around the world including universities and employers in many countries, as well as by professional bodies, and other government agencies. It is also used for language testing for UK immigration and for migration to other countries, including Australia, Canada and New Zealand. More than 2.5 million IELTS tests were taken in 2015 in over 140 countries.
